Services, listed below, may be accessed by contacting the ND School for the Deaf/Resource Center. A contact person, identified after each topic, is available to answer questions or provide additional information.
- Comprehensive Assessment Service: Are available to assist the child's multidisciplinary team. (Contact: Outreach Coordinator)
- Educational Programming: Deaf and hard-of-hearing students of all grade levels: pre-school, kindergarten, elementary and middle school. (Contact: Superintendent)
- Health Services Program: Materials and brochures related to total wellness including resources related to deafness. (Contact: Director of Health Services)
- Infant Hearing Screening: Is available for infants and toddlers (0-3). (Contact: Outreach Coordinator)
- Inter-Library Loan: Professional books and videotapes on a variety of professional development topics including disabilities, hearing loss, sign language, interpreting, educational programs, deaf culture, parenting, etc. (Contact: Librarian)
- Interpreter Referral Service: (Contact: Communications Coordinator)
- Parent-Infant Program: For families whose child, 0 to 3 years, has a suspected or identified hearing loss. The Parent-Infant Program is family-centered to assist families in addressing their child's needs related to hearing loss. These services are provided in the child's natural environment. - Professional Consultation: A certified Teacher of the Deaf is available to provide assistance to school teams in determining areas of need for deaf/hard-of-hearing students. Professional development classes, demonstrations, workshops, and staff in-services are available. (Contact: Outreach Coordinator)
- Sign Language Instruction: Including both American Sign Language and Signed English. (Contact: Communications Coordinator)
- Summer Camps: For children who are deaf or hard-of-hearing. (Contact: Outreach Coordinator)
- Workshops or educational in-services: On hearing loss and communication tips, deaf awareness issues, deaf culture, basic sign language, assistive-listening devices (fire alarms, doorbells, TTY's, etc.), hearing aids, audiograms, classroom modifications, and strategies.
